On December 30 in 1903 a Delaware family lost their lives in the Iroquois Theater fire in Chicago. Every year, on behalf of Arena Fair, we place a wreath at the site where this family is laid to rest. (you can find several accounts on YouTube of this horrible disaster, and insight to greed and power, comparable to that of the Titanic.)

We theater people are connected. Whether actors or patrons, we have a love for drama, make-believe, community, and we are enriched by it. Take a moment, in memory of the Battenfield family, to reflect on your love of the theater. We hope you come away enriched.
